On June 25, 2018, esports was recognized as an official sport in Kazakhstan. This year, we celebrate five years of active development of esports in the country, and there is no better way to mark the occasion than with victories by our esports athletes. As you know, the Asian Games are one of the most prestigious international sporting events in the world, second only to the Olympics. Our athletes have a long way to go to showcase their full potential. However, it is already clear that Kazakhstan is highly competitive on the global stage, with our esports athletes bringing home medals from around the world every year. This is the path we have traveled over the past five years—building and developing infrastructure, working with talent, and creating a large tournament structure. We will continue to prepare our national team and gifted players for major competitions and, of course, will continue to create all necessary conditions for the development of esports in Kazakhstan.
