Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a cloud platform provided by Amazon, enabling users to access a wide range of cloud resources and services.
Since 2006, AWS has been providing flexibility, scalability, and cost-efficiency in IT resource usage, allowing users to build and grow their applications, websites, and services in the cloud.
Last year, AWS announced the availability of AWS Outposts in Kazakhstan. This means that Kazakhstani companies can now use AWS services locally within their own data centers. An AWS Outposts rack can be delivered and installed in customer data centers and local sites in Kazakhstan.
In the fall, AWS held a meeting with the Committee on Information Security of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan to discuss the technical capabilities of AWS Outposts, particularly regarding security and encryption. The parties discussed data processing and storage mechanisms and their alignment with Kazakhstan’s data localization requirements.
AWS Outposts is a fully managed solution that allows users to extend AWS infrastructure, including services, APIs, and tools, into their own data center. It enables the creation and execution of applications in the data center using the same tools and approaches provided by the AWS cloud.
