At a government meeting in Kazakhstan, measures were discussed to implement the President's directive to transform Kazakhstan into a fully digital country within three years. The discussion included government members, regional leaders, and representatives from the digital sector.
Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Zhaslan Madiev presented a report on plans for accelerated digital transformation of the country. He noted that the key goal is to integrate digital technologies into all areas of life: the economy, education, healthcare, transport, and public services.
Specific areas of work were presented at the meeting. These include developing national digital infrastructure, creating a secure and resilient cloud ecosystem, implementing domestic digital solutions, and improving the digital literacy of the population. Special attention was given to using artificial intelligence and data to optimize government processes and improve service quality for citizens.
Issues of cybersecurity, IT import substitution, and training qualified specialists were also discussed. A separate point was the work on creating a unified digital platform that integrates government services and private solutions.
The Prime Minister emphasized that digital transformation is not only a technological but also a socio-economic process that requires a systematic approach, interagency cooperation, and participation from the regions.
The implementation of the planned measures should ensure sustainable development of the digital economy, increase governance transparency, and create conditions for the country's innovative growth.
