Kazakhstan has entered the global TOP500 supercomputers ranking for the first time

Kazakhstan is represented for the first time in the global TOP500 ranking of the world's most powerful supercomputers. In the published version of the list, two Kazakhstani supercomputers immediately secured positions among the world leaders.

The supercomputer of JSC "NIT" of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development took the 86th place, entering the top hundred of the ranking. The second supercomputer — the infrastructure of JSC "Kazakhtelecom" — is located at the 103rd position.

According to representatives of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence, access to computing resources will be provided to research centers, universities, technology companies, startups, and government agencies.

The country's appearance in the TOP500 ranking is considered an important stage in the development of the national AI infrastructure and strengthening of Kazakhstan's digital sovereignty.
