The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) has published a review on the implementation of recommendations for regulating the crypto industry. The study involved 20 jurisdictions, including the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC).
According to the report, Kazakhstan demonstrated a high level of compliance with IOSCO standards in the areas of corporate governance, protection of client assets, and disclosure of information. The country is among the 15 jurisdictions where measures to manage conflicts of interest among crypto service providers are already in place.
Furthermore, AIFC is part of a group of 12 countries that have fully implemented requirements for the protection of client assets and compensation in case of losses. The center also applies strict audit and reporting standards for crypto companies.
Kazakhstan is also noted as one of the few jurisdictions actively participating in international information exchange on digital assets through IOSCO mechanisms.
