Kazakhstan is preparing a Digital Nomad Visa project

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan will introduce amendments to the legislation aimed at establishing a new type of visa for foreign IT specialists — the “digital nomad” visa. The rules for issuing invitations for the entry of foreign citizens and stateless persons will include a special category — “Individuals with in-demand professions.”

The Digital Nomad Visa is designed to attract international specialists and enhance the country’s human capital. This will help stimulate the return of Kazakh emigrants and highly qualified professionals possessing valuable skills in fields such as science, education, healthcare, industry, IT, sports, culture, and other sectors.

IT specialists with a monthly income exceeding €2,000 and valid medical insurance covering the territory of Kazakhstan will be eligible to obtain a Digital Nomad Visa. The visa will be issued for one year, and applicants will be exempt from paying taxes.
