How leaders can develop themselves and their teams was discussed at Kolesa TeamLead Day 2024

Recently, Kolesa TeamLead Day 2024 took place in Almaty. This is the largest platform in Kazakhstan for exchanging experience among team leads and managers in IT. The event brought together 320 attendees. Speakers from Kolesa Group, NITEC, Altel Digital, JUG Ru Group, Bereke Bank, and Beeline Kazakhstan delivered presentations.

The Tech attended Kolesa TeamLead Day and gathered all the most interesting insights.

Kolesa Group created a platform so that Kazakhstani middle managers — team leads, tech leads, managers, SEMs — could exchange experience and support each other. The organizers have been hosting Kolesa TeamLead Day since 2022, increasing the scale of niche events and experimenting with formats. This year, after the presentations, the organizers held a panel discussion on career development in IT and career paths.

The event program was designed so that every participant could find solutions to their specific challenges. For example, a junior team lead could gain valuable insights from an experienced team lead, while an experienced team lead might reflect on enhancing their personal brand externally. Such a concentration of team lead expertise per person-hour and square meter happens only once a year in Kazakhstan.
