How education in Kazakhstan will change: results of the first day of EdCrunch 2022

The first day of the international conference on technologies and hi-tech products in education, EdCrunch Reload: The Fusion of Mind and Technology, took place in Almaty.

EdCrunch Reload 2022 brought together 350 speakers from Kazakhstan and abroad—experts in the field of new educational technologies and representatives of business companies involved in investments and development in EdTech.

More than 5,000 participants and viewers focused their discussions on key areas such as:

— designing educational experiences

— learning quality and the role of teachers

— the use of digital tools.

Today, education and investments in human capital are becoming key priorities for the Kazakhstani business community.

Important steps in this direction include measures to reduce the gap between rural and urban schools in terms of their scientific and material-technical base. Since 2019, the Education Sustainable Development Fund, with the support of the AITAS holding company and in collaboration with NIS, has launched the educational program "Rural School Powered by NIS," which includes the implementation of high-quality teaching methods, professional development, and other factors contributing to the development of education in rural areas.

During the discussions, special attention was given to updating learning processes and addressing the spectrum of modern educational needs and priorities.
