The IT Park Uzbekistan delegation visited the Fergana region on a working trip, where active work is underway to develop digital infrastructure and create modern conditions for education and entrepreneurship in the IT sector.
The delegation included Mahliyo Muksinova, Deputy Director for Export Services Development, Jamila Khalibaeva, Deputy Director for Global Marketing, and Azam Abdullaev, Deputy Director for Regional Development.
The delegation paid special attention to the IT Park building under construction in the eco-town located at the intersection of Sayilgoh and Al-Fergani streets. The facility will become IT Park's largest regional hub. It will be a 13-story building with a total area of 22,610 square meters.
Inside, there will be 50 classrooms designed for 950 students, with additional capacity for up to 500 more people. The building will also include a dormitory with 188 places, spaces for teaching and administrative staff, a library occupying the second and third floors, four meeting halls, and a congress hall for 450 people. This center will become an important link in the regional educational and innovation ecosystem.
During the trip, IT Park representatives also inspected the former ATS No. 225 building in Fergana city, where a new branch is planned to open. The space will be converted into offices and coworking areas tailored to the needs of IT companies, specialists, and startups. A comfortable, flexible environment meeting modern standards of technological business will be created here.
Additionally, the delegation visited the IT town in the Tashlak district. Here, schoolchildren and students learn programming, 3D printing, robotics, and foreign languages. Such facilities not only shape future IT professionals but also provide access to quality education in remote areas, laying the foundation for the digital transformation of regions.
Currently, 107 residents operate at the Fergana branch of IT Park, of which 24 companies export IT services to the United States, China, Russia, Poland, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Israel, Japan, the UAE, Singapore, Thailand, and India. Over 1,300 jobs have already been created, and several companies have utilized the Zero Risk program—a government support mechanism that reduces startup risks for IT entrepreneurs opening offices in the country's regions.
Digital transformation is reaching more regions of Uzbekistan, and Fergana is gradually becoming one of its centers. The development of infrastructure, launch of new branches, and educational facilities creates a solid foundation for the growth of local IT initiatives, unlocking the region's potential and expanding residents' access to modern opportunities.
