IT Park Uzbekistan and Talos Capital are discussing investments in Uzbek startups

The Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, together with IT Park Uzbekistan, held a meeting with representatives of the American venture capital company Talos Capital, which specializes in investments in artificial intelligence, DeepTech, cybersecurity, defense technologies, Industry 4.0, and FinTech.

The negotiations were attended by Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies, Farhad Ibragimov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IT Park Uzbekistan, and Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan. On behalf of Talos Capital, Nir Netzer, Managing Partner, and Paul Sheehan, Project Director, participated in the discussions.

The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the following areas:

— systematic collaboration in the field of venture investments and startup acceleration

— review of the pool of Uzbek startups and joint assessment of promising technology companies

— participation of Talos Capital in startup support programs, including the Digital Startups Program, with the development of co-investment models and accelerated funding mechanisms

— facilitating the entry of Talos Capital’s foreign companies into the Uzbek market, including access to IT Park Uzbekistan infrastructure, regulatory consultations, and the launch of pilot projects.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on further cooperation to attract venture investments, support startups, and strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in the global innovation ecosystem.
