Google announced new AI-powered features for teachers

Google announced a number of new features for managing the educational process, accessibility, and creating questions and lesson plans using artificial intelligence.

Google already allows teachers to add questions to YouTube videos as part of assignments. Soon, artificial intelligence will be able to suggest questions for specific moments in the video. This feature was first introduced by the company in June 2023. Initially, teachers had to apply to activate this capability.

The exercise sets feature for generating answers and general prompts is now available in more than 50 languages. Additionally, educators can turn a Google Form into a practice set.

Later in 2024, teachers will be able to create different groups in Google Classroom. They can also assign different tasks to different groups.
