Gemini is gaining users faster than ChatGPT and intensifying competition.

According to the latest report from Sensor Tower, Google Gemini is showing significantly higher growth rates compared to ChatGPT.

From August to November 2025, ChatGPT's monthly audience increased by only ~6%, reaching approximately 810 million users. Over the same period, Gemini showed an active audience growth of about 30%, outpacing its competitor in terms of momentum.

The average time users spend in the Gemini app has grown to ~11 minutes per day, which is nearly 120% more than in March 2025, indicating high user engagement.

Despite this, ChatGPT remains the leader in total user base and download share, but Gemini's accelerated growth is creating conditions for narrowing the gap and intensifying competition in the chatbot market.
