CEO Temirlan Zinalabdin noted that the collaboration aims to develop digital infrastructure and enhance the competitiveness of local startups in the global market.
The Kazakh company Freedom Cloud has entered into a partnership agreement with Amazon Web Services. This is the first time in Central Asia that a local cloud provider has received official AWS partner status — one of the leaders in the global cloud market.
Now, Kazakh companies, startups, and government entities will gain local access to all AWS capabilities — from cloud computing and data storage to AI/ML services, DevOps automation, and world-class security solutions. This means that businesses in Kazakhstan can operate on the same technological infrastructure as Amazon, Netflix, NASA, or Pfizer — without leaving the country.
Freedom Cloud already manages a network of data centers in Kazakhstan certified to international standards. In the context of dependence on foreign services, developing its own cloud infrastructure has become a matter of digital security. Now — with AWS support — the company is launching hybrid solutions: from secure storage to high-load AI computing.
Startups will be able to go through acceleration via AWS Activate, enter the AWS Marketplace, and engineers will be able to obtain international certifications and develop globally in-demand products.
Freedom Cloud is a local cloud provider offering a wide range of IaaS and PaaS solutions. The company is developing areas such as high-load computing, Kubernetes, object storage, GPU, and AI cloud services for business and government.
Temirlan Zinalabdin, CEO of Freedom Cloud
For us, this is not just a step in development — it is a claim to leadership. We want Kazakhstan to stop being just a consumer of IT services and become an active part of the global digital landscape. And for that, we are bringing the most advanced technologies into the country.
Many ask — why do we need global partners? It's simple: we want Kazakh startups to be competitive in Singapore, Berlin, and San Francisco. We want our government services to meet the best GovTech practices. We want talented engineers to find challenges right at home.
This is a new chapter for Kazakhstan's IT ecosystem. We believe we can not only consume technologies but also create them. And now we are doing it at the level of the world's best platforms.
