At the Adobe Max 2025 conference, Adobe unveiled updated artificial intelligence features for its key products: Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Lightroom. These innovations aim to accelerate creative workflows and simplify photo and video editing.
In Photoshop, users can now leverage not only the built-in Firefly model but also third-party AI models, such as Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash and Black Forest Labs' Flux.1 Kontext. A new chat assistant has also been introduced, which executes commands like "increase saturation" or "replace background" based on text prompts.
Premiere Pro has added the AI Object Mask feature, which automatically detects people and objects in video footage, enabling quick application of effects or color grading without manual selection.
For Lightroom, the Assisted Culling function has been introduced. It analyzes photo series and selects the best shots based on sharpness, focus, and facial expressions.
Additionally, the company announced the new generative model Firefly Image 5, capable of creating images with higher detail and realism, eliminating the need for subsequent upscaling.
These new tools are already available in the beta versions of the applications and will become part of the Adobe Creative Cloud update in the near future.
