The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the international technology park Astana Hub and JSC NCPK "Orleu," launched a pilot project for an online educational platform to teach the basics of programming. The project involves 300 teachers and trainers who are enhancing their qualifications in the fields of "Artificial Intelligence" and Game Development. The six-month courses will conclude on December 31, 2024, after which participants will receive certificates enabling them to teach the basics of programming to schoolchildren and educators.
Schoolchildren in the pilot schools will undergo training in two stages. The first stage includes online courses on No Code, Low Code, and Startup Academy from July to December 2024. The second stage, starting in January 2025, will feature in-person classes on the basics of programming. Student registration is conducted through the Astana Hub platform, where each schoolchild is issued a login and password to access modules and assignments. Successful completion of all modules will be confirmed by a certificate, granting the ability to create IT products. The pilot project will cover more than 27,000 schoolchildren, providing them with the opportunity to learn at their convenience and receive assistance from project coordinators.
