zypl.ai has raised an additional $5.5 million in investments
Carbide Ventures first invested in zypl.ai a year ago and was highly impressed by the team, the product, and the growth over the past 12 months. When the opportunity arose to invest more, we immediately took advantage of it and are now working closely with the team to expand into new geographic markets and identify additional revenue streams.
AI startup zypl.ai raised $5.5 million in a strategic bridge round at a valuation of $80 million. The investment came from Carbide Ventures fund, as well as from a number of prominent business leaders, including Shukhrat Ibragimov.
The company, which operates in the field of artificial intelligence and specializes in applying synthetic data for decision-making in the financial sector, notes that the new round was an important stage in its development and a confirmation of trust in the platform and the pace of international expansion. The raised funds will be directed toward further scaling in key markets and implementing synthetic data-based solutions for banks operating on their own zGAN model.

Shukhrat Ibragimov is the CEO of Eurasian Resources Group — one of the largest diversified natural resources companies in the world. He is responsible for the group's global strategy and modernization. ERG is among the leading producers of ferrochrome and cobalt and is a key supplier of critical materials for batteries, renewable energy, and high-tech manufacturing. In addition, Ibragimov serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eurasian Bank — one of the largest private banks in Kazakhstan — and Eurasia Insurance Company — the leading insurance company in the country.
zypl.ai has developed its own generative AI model, zGAN, focused on creating synthetic data that accounts for rare and non-standard scenarios, thereby improving the accuracy of predictive models in conditions of macroeconomic instability. Two scientific papers on the technology have been published on the arXiv platform, and a presentation was delivered at the NeurIPS conference.
The zGAN synthetic data generator is integrated into the Lucid platform — zypl.ai’s no-code solution that allows financial organizations to independently develop and deploy AI models. To date, the company collaborates with more than 60 financial institutions in 20 countries around the world. Prosus Ventures and other funds are also among the startup’s investors.
