The star of Netflix's One Piece series will headline Comic Con Astana 2026

The fifth Comic Con Astana will take place in the capital of Kazakhstan from August 6 to 9, 2026, once again bringing together fans of movies, TV series, comics, video games, anime, and modern pop culture from around the world.

Iñaki Godoy has become one of the brightest young actors of his generation following the release of the series "One Piece," which entered the list of Netflix's most successful premieres. His character—the ever-optimistic captain of the pirate crew Monkey D. Luffy—quickly won the hearts of millions of viewers worldwide. In addition to One Piece, the actor is also known for the series "Imperfect" and "Who Killed Sara?", as well as the films "¡Ánimo Juventud!", "MexZombies," and "No abras la puerta."

It is expected that at Comic Con Astana, Iñaki Godoy will appear on the festival's main stage, answer fans' questions, and participate in autograph and photo sessions.

Previously, the first headliner of Comic Con Astana 2026 was announced as the Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, known for his role as Jaime Lannister in the cult series "Game of Thrones." The actor's filmography also includes such notable projects as "Black Hawk Down," "Kingdom of Heaven," "Oblivion," "Gods of Egypt," "Mom," "Shot in the Dark," as well as the series "What He Saw" and "The King and the Conqueror." Among Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's upcoming projects is the new film The Last Mrs. Parrish directed by Robert Zemeckis, the creator of the legendary films "Back to the Future" and "Forrest Gump." This is a new Netflix project in which the actor will appear on screen alongside Jennifer Lopez.

In addition to international movie stars, popular bloggers, content creators, and representatives of the global cosplay industry will participate in Comic Con Astana 2026.

Among the special guests of the festival:

— Kamui Cosplay — a world-renowned creative duo from Germany, recognized as one of the leaders of the global cosplay industry and specializing in creating highly detailed costumes

— SuperCrastan — one of the most famous Russian-language YouTube bloggers, an inventor and science popularizer, author of large-scale DIY projects and unusual engineering experiments

— Jane Kravitz — a popular YouTube channel author dedicated to mysterious stories, investigations, and documentary video essays

— Karrambaby — a popular Russian video blogger with a multi-million audience on Instagram and YouTube, where she publishes content about fashion, travel, and everyday life

— Dobryak — one of the most famous animators on Russian-language YouTube, author of viral animated videos with millions of views

— Dalbek — a popular Kazakhstani blogger and creator of entertainment content, known for his reviews of movies, cartoons, and animation.

In 2026, Comic Con Astana, like the previous year, will take place at two venues simultaneously. The festival's main stage and meetings with headliners will be held at Barys Arena. At the same time, the ice palace "Alau" will transform into a large-scale exhibition space, featuring thematic zones, company and partner booths, gaming areas, presentations, interactive activities, and numerous entertainments for guests.

The international cosplay competition, a traditional element of Comic Con Astana, annually brings together the best participants from different countries. This year, the contest's prize fund will amount to 20 million tenge, making it one of the largest cosplay tournaments in the region.

Over the years, Comic Con Astana has established itself as the largest modern pop culture festival in Central Asia. In different years, its headliners have included Mads Mikkelsen, Andy Serkis, Pilou Asbæk, Scott Adkins, Esai Morales, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Percy Hynes White, and Alexander Kuznetsov.
