Xiaomi is adding the Xiao AI digital assistant with DeepSeek support to its HyperOS.

Xiaomi is actively working on expanding the functionality of its proprietary HyperOS interface by integrating advanced artificial intelligence technologies. Xiaomi has begun internal testing of the integration of the voice assistant Xiao AI with the DeepSeek-R1 artificial intelligence system.

The testing is being conducted on devices running HyperOS 2.0, where users can interact with the AI using voice commands. The new AI model offers a wide range of capabilities, including code generation, text content creation, and performing complex analytical tasks. This significantly expands the functionality of Xiaomi devices, making them smarter and more versatile.

Although the technology is still in the refinement stage, Xiaomi has already published a list of more than 25 device models that will receive support for Super Xiao AI integrated with the DeepSeek system. This list includes the flagship Xiaomi 15 Pro and Xiaomi 15 smartphones, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, devices from the Redmi K70 and K80 lines, foldable flagships MIX Fold 4 and MIX Flip, as well as the Pad 7 Pro, Pad 7, and Pad 6S Pro 12.4 tablets.
