Combining international experience with the opportunities of the Kazakhstani market
VCGL’s entry into the Kazakhstani market is based on the group’s experience operating in various financial markets. The group is present in Hong Kong, the United States, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Through its activities, VCGL has accumulated experience working with investors across different markets and developing technological solutions to support financial services.
In the United States, Tickrs Clearing LLC is registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, is a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation, and is also a participant in NYSE Arca.
Technology plays a key role in VCGL’s operational model: approximately 70% of the group’s employees specialize in technological fields. The group has developed its own systems that ensure trading operations, clearing, and settlements within its specific areas of activity. This allows the group to independently create and manage key elements of financial market infrastructure. These technological capabilities form the foundation of VCGL’s approach to developing and managing its business across various markets.
Building on this experience, VCGL sees opportunities to apply its knowledge of financial markets and technological solutions in Kazakhstan, developing local business in compliance with current regulatory requirements.
Establishing Tickrs Financial Limited in Kazakhstan
VCGL’s decision to establish Tickrs Financial Limited in Kazakhstan was preceded by a period of market research and engagement with market participants, beginning with the group’s first visit to the country in 2025. During this period, VCGL studied the features of the local investment market and noted the growing activity of retail investors.
According to the International Financial Center “Astana,” over five years, the number of retail investor accounts in Kazakhstan increased approximately 35-fold. By the end of 2025, the Central Depository AIX reported 2.3 million retail investor accounts. Meanwhile, the number of accounts in the Central Depository of Securities of Kazakhstan’s nominee holding system increased by 44.6% over the year, reaching 5.06 million. In 2025, individuals accounted for 55.8% of the total gross turnover of stock trades on the secondary market of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange.
These changes reflect the development of Kazakhstan’s investment market and provide important context for VCGL’s long-term plans in the country. For the group, the establishment of Tickrs Financial Limited represents an opportunity to expand its presence in Kazakhstan, leveraging a deep understanding of local investors’ needs and adopting a long-term approach.
Since our first visit to Kazakhstan in 2025, we have been impressed by the market’s development and the growing interest in investments. Engaging with market participants and conducting research have strengthened our confidence in Kazakhstan’s potential and our belief that we can create a truly significant project here.
At VCGL, we view Kazakhstan as an important part of our international expansion. We are pleased with the opportunity to develop Tickrs here, drawing on our experience across various financial markets while simultaneously building a business that addresses local needs and characteristics. We aim to become part of Kazakhstan’s evolving investment market, build long-term relationships with the country’s investment community, and contribute to the market’s development over time.
