A Tashkent International Financial Center will be established in Uzbekistan. The corresponding Presidential Decree No. PF-48 dated March 30, 2026, has entered into force.
According to the document, a Tashkent International Commercial Court, consisting of first-instance and appellate courts, will also be established within the center's territory.
The center will serve as a platform for a wide range of financial and related services. Banking and investment activities, insurance, digital assets, securities, and payment systems will be permitted. The development of Islamic and green finance, fintech services, as well as the provision of auditing, consulting, and legal services, is also planned.
A special legal regime, established by constitutional law, will operate within the center. The governing bodies will have the authority to independently adopt regulatory legal acts governing civil, corporate, financial, banking, tax, and labor relations, as well as issues related to public procurement and personal data protection.
It is specifically noted that within the framework of the center, the common law system of England and Wales, along with principles of equity, will be applied directly.
The creation of the TIFC aims to develop international financial infrastructure and attract foreign investment into the country's economy.
