Abdulkhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, held a meeting with a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), led by Mirzo Iskandar Guliamov, Acting Director of the ADB Resident Mission in Uzbekistan. During the negotiations, the parties reviewed areas of cooperation and agreed to continue working on projects in the fields of digitalization and entrepreneurship support.
Special attention was given to the development of regional IT infrastructure. Plans include opening new IT hubs and campuses in Khorezm, Bukhara, Tashkent Region, Andijan, and Jizzakh. These facilities will become modern centers for IT companies and startups, providing office spaces, co-working areas, classrooms, and laboratories.
Another key topic of discussion was the Enterprise Uzbekistan initiative, aimed at establishing an institutional and regulatory framework. Under this initiative, a Tech Sandbox will be launched to test FinTech and other solutions, an online portal for applications will be created, and services for digital justice, dispute resolution, and technological and legal consulting will be implemented.
Additionally, the parties discussed the formation of a national startup ecosystem and a digital platform to support entrepreneurs. IT Park Uzbekistan expressed its readiness to work jointly with the ADB to develop concrete steps and leverage the successful experience of previously implemented projects.
Cooperation with the ADB will enable IT Park Uzbekistan to expand its presence in the regions, strengthen the national startup ecosystem, and create conditions for integrating Uzbek IT companies into the international market.
