A new way of sending money has appeared in Uzbekistan — Account-to-Account
Today, digital financial technologies continue to develop actively in Uzbekistan, with systematic initiatives being consistently implemented in this area.
FinTech refers to solutions that enable banking and financial services to be conducted quickly, conveniently, and securely using digital tools. Such services already include QR code payments, NFC payments, and instant online transfers.
One of the new modern services is the Account-to-Account format, introduced under the decree of the President of Uzbekistan dated December 10, 2025, No. PF-246.
A transfer service in the Account-to-Account format has been launched in the country, ensuring interaction between banks. The technical infrastructure for its implementation was developed by the Main Center for Informatization of the Central Bank.
The A2A service allows individuals to make transfers directly from one bank account to another, even if the accounts are held at different banks.
Unlike traditional P2P transfers, where money is sent via card number, in the Account-to-Account format, funds are transferred directly between bank accounts. Users do not need to obtain a new card—the feature is available in existing banking applications as an additional transfer method.
Currently, the service is technically available to all banks in the country.
At the same time, all existing types of transfers continue to operate—A2A simply expands user capabilities by providing an additional choice.
Transfer fees are set by individual banks in accordance with their tariff policies and may vary depending on the selected bank and service type. The Central Bank, acting as the regulator, does not interfere in the process of setting fees.
Users are advised to review bank tariffs in advance and compare terms to choose the most suitable financial service.
