The CURSOR 48H HACKATHON with a prize fund of $5000 took place in Tashkent.
The CURSOR 48H HACKATHON took place in Tashkent — an intensive technology hackathon that brought together developers, designers, and product teams from across Uzbekistan. Over 48 hours, participants developed digital solutions — from concept to working prototypes.
The event was organized by Nikita Shilov and Sitora Sharipova with the support of partners and the regional technology community.
The total prize pool amounted to $5000 in Cursor Credits, aimed at further development and scaling of the best projects.
Following the final presentations, the jury selected the following winning teams:
First place — an AI solution in the e-commerce category: an intelligent agent for sellers on marketplaces that allows analyzing the market, tracking competitors, automatically creating product listings, and forming pricing strategies.
Second place — a civic tech platform for identifying urban pollution: users report issues via photos, and the system uses artificial intelligence to analyze the data and send structured information to the relevant authorities.
Third place — a real-time 3D simulator of neurosurgical operations, developed by a team of medical university students. The solution aims to improve the quality of medical education and practical training of specialists.
The co-organizer of the hackathon was School 21 — an educational initiative based on peer-to-peer learning principles and a practice-oriented approach to training IT specialists.
Appwrite and Hetzner served as technology partners, providing infrastructure solutions for development.
Hyper App and Akmaljon Musaev provided cloud support for participants' projects.
Partner support was also provided by Nabeghlavi, Domino’s Pizza, and Tim’s.
Institutional and media partners included IT Park Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Click, and The Tech Media.
The contributions of the Women in Tech Uzbekistan and IT Community of Uzbekistan communities should also be noted, as they significantly supported the initiative and helped engage participants and develop the professional community.
Digital.uz and its subsidiaries IT Park and IT Park Ventures served as investment partners, selecting several hackathon projects for further support and development. Teams will have the opportunity to continue working on their solutions within the ecosystem, including mentorship, infrastructure, and investment support.
