The Khan Tengri Innovation Hub has opened in Shanghai to support startups from Central Eurasia

On July 26, the official opening of the Khan Tengri Innovation Hub took place in Shanghai—an international platform established to support technology startups from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Central Eurasian countries. The opening occurred at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference WAIC 2025, Asia’s largest forum in the field of artificial intelligence and innovation.

The Khan Tengri Innovation Hub is the first initiative aimed at systematically integrating the innovation ecosystems of Central Asia with the Chinese market. The hub is designed to facilitate the entry of regional startups into the Chinese market, scale technological solutions, exchange knowledge, and attract investments.

The project is implemented with the support of Astana Hub and IT Park Uzbekistan, and its launch became one of the central events of the conference. Official delegations from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan participated in the opening ceremony. The Kazakh delegation was led by the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry, Zhaslan Madiev.

As part of the Central Asia Innovation Hubs initiative, eight startups from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as the Astana Hub and IT Park Uzbekistan technology parks, presented their solutions at the WAIC exhibition area.

The opening of the hub symbolizes a new stage in the development of cross-border technological cooperation between Central Asian countries and China.
