Malaysia will create an IT hub to scale up Central Asian startups
Astana Hub and IT Park Uzbekistan, together with the venture capital fund Big Sky Capital, have announced the launch of an international technology hub in Southeast Asia. The hub will be based in Malaysia and is aimed at helping startups from the region enter the markets of Singapore and other Southeast Asian countries.
The project targets B2B startups from Central Asia with ready-made products. Through the hub, they will be able to test solutions, find corporate clients, and attract local investments.
Residents will be offered comprehensive support: legal adaptation, access to pilot projects, mentoring, business missions, and assistance in market entry. The key task is to convert pilots into full-fledged commercial contracts.
The initiative also involves a reverse flow: startups from Southeast Asia will be able to enter the markets of Central Asia, launch joint R&D projects, and participate in technology transfer.
For Astana Hub, this is already the third international hub after launches in Dubai and Shanghai.
