In Kazakhstan, one of the largest projects in the world for the implementation of AI in education has been launched.

In Kazakhstan, a national project has launched to integrate artificial intelligence tools into the education system, organized in partnership with OpenAI. As part of this initiative, 165,000 educators will gain access to ChatGPT Edu — a version of ChatGPT specifically designed for educational purposes. The project is sponsored by Freedom Holding Corp., with IT holding company Bilim Group serving as the technological partner for integration.

As part of its agreement with OpenAI, Freedom Holding Corp. has acquired 165,000 annual ChatGPT Edu licenses for Kazakhstani educators. This makes the project one of the largest global initiatives for integrating artificial intelligence into education with state-level support.

ChatGPT Edu licenses will be distributed among educators across all levels of the education system, including preschool institutions, schools, colleges, universities, research institutes, and Astana Hub. The project is being implemented with the participation of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. All participants will receive free access to the licenses, which will be activated through a special service based on the Kazakhstani educational platform BilimClass — ai.bilimclass.kz.
