A new free program for educators focused on training in the application of artificial intelligence in the educational process has launched in Kazakhstan. The initiative is implemented by the National Center for Professional Development "Orleu" in collaboration with UNESCO and aims to enhance teachers' digital literacy.
As part of the course, educators learn the basics of ethical and practical use of AI, how to work with prompts, plan lessons, create tests, educational materials, and illustrations, as well as update lesson content to make it more engaging for students.
Artificial intelligence does not replace teachers but becomes their assistant, allowing them to focus on creative tasks and working with children. The training is conducted online on the platform reg.orleu.edu.kz and already gathered around 100,000 participants in the first week, nearly half of whom successfully completed the course and received certificates.
