A digital headquarters for the development and implementation of artificial intelligence has been established in Kazakhstan.

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the implementation of the Head of State's directives on the development of artificial intelligence. Nine key areas defined by the President were reviewed: the integration of AI into the real sector of the economy, public administration, and healthcare; the development of an artificial intelligence strategy and digital transformation; the improvement of public services and appeal handling processes, modernization of IT architecture, development of the national QazTech platform, ensuring cybersecurity, supporting domestic IT startups, and the development of Smart cities.

Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiev presented a report on the approaches to implementing the President's directives. The priority task identified is the integration of AI into the economy. In this area, the Government, together with the Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare State Fund, has begun developing a Roadmap for the implementation of artificial intelligence in production processes to increase labor productivity.

In the healthcare sector, new technologies should ensure more accurate diagnosis, personalized treatment selection, continuous monitoring of patients' condition, and freeing doctors from routine tasks, thereby improving the quality, transparency, and efficiency of medical services. Special attention is being paid to providing domestic startups with access to the Ministry of Healthcare's infrastructure and transitioning to a Unified Medical Data Base.

Work is underway to establish Aitu as the national messenger. All government agencies will be migrated to this platform, and key ecosystem participants will be integrated into a single digital environment, making government services accessible with one click. Simultaneously, measures are being implemented to enhance architectural discipline in the country's IT landscape and protect data.

The Digital Headquarters will promptly adopt mandatory decisions for implementation, which will accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies across the country.
