In New York, during President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's visit, a historic agreement was signed: Amazon Project Kuiper officially enters the Kazakh market. The roadmap solidifies the partnership between the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC "Kazakhtelecom," and Amazon.
In the coming years, residents of Kazakhstan, including those in the most remote villages and settlements, will gain access to modern satellite internet. Amazon Kuiper is building a global network of low-orbit satellites, and now this advanced technology will become part of our country's digital infrastructure.
The exclusive partner in Kazakhstan, "Kazakhtelecom," will be responsible for distributing Amazon Kuiper services. This is Amazon's first investment of such scale in Central Asia.
The signing of the roadmap with Amazon Kuiper is an important step in strengthening digital infrastructure and expanding international cooperation. Kazakhstan gains access to cutting-edge satellite technologies that will directly impact the quality of life of our citizens and economic development.
Amazon Kuiper plans to launch more than 3,200 satellites into orbit to ensure global coverage. Kazakhstan becomes part of this ambitious project and takes a step toward a future where fast internet will be available to everyone.
