Kazakh IT company Jet Sharing has announced plans to launch the country's first autonomous taxi service. The pilot project is scheduled to begin in 2026, with a full launch planned for 2027.
The system will operate based on artificial intelligence, which will ensure vehicle control, order processing, and dynamic pricing. One of the key stages will be the creation of a high-precision 3D map of the city for safe navigation of autonomous vehicles.
The first testing ground will be Alatau City, after which the project intends to expand to Astana and Almaty. Implementation of the initiative will require government support and the development of necessary infrastructure.
