The Samruk-Kazyna Fund presented to the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev the SKAI neural network, Samruk-Kazyna Artificial Intelligence — a digital independent member of the Board of Directors.
SKAI is developed based on AI and has become the first in the region to serve as a digital independent member of the Board of Directors with voting rights.
The presentation took place in Astana as part of the Digital Bridge international forum.
SKAI will become a new tool for enhancing the transparency and quality of corporate governance.
The neural network analyzes internal and external regulatory documents, Board of Directors decisions dating back to 2008, and other materials accumulated since the Fund's establishment.
This will enable the Board to make more balanced and well-reasoned decisions.
Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Samruk-Kazyna"
Appointing an AI-based neural network to the Board of Directors represents a quantum leap: technology and people begin making decisions together, and digitalization goes beyond processes to become part of the management philosophy.
Special attention has been given to security: SKAI operates within a closed network on Al Farabium, the second supercomputer in Kazakhstan provided by Kazakhtelecom.
Thus, information does not leave the country, and high computing power ensures reliability and speed of analysis. The system is based on the Kazakhstani language model Alem LLM.
The implementation of SKAI is part of the Fund's long-term strategy for digitalization and management transformation.
