The EU TUMO Convergence Center, an international center for engineering and applied sciences, will open in Yerevan.

In Yerevan, the EU TUMO Convergence Center will be established—a new international STEM center focused on engineering education, applied sciences, and the development of technological innovations. The project is positioned as a space where the academic environment and industry will work together, and Armenia will more actively integrate into the global technological ecosystem.

The Convergence Center is envisioned as a hub for training engineers and specialists in applied sciences, as well as a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration. The center plans to focus on engineering, applied research, and practice-oriented learning that connects theory with real-world business and technology challenges.

Special emphasis is placed on the concept of "convergence"—the integration of education, science, and industry within a single space. The center will serve as a venue where students, researchers, engineers, and representatives of technology companies can work on joint projects, exchange experience, and develop innovative solutions.

The project is being implemented in Yerevan, which in recent years has strengthened its position as a regional center for technological education. The new Convergence Center is expected to complement the existing educational infrastructure and enhance the city's role as a magnet for international STEM initiatives, research programs, and educational partnerships.

According to the project description, the EU TUMO Convergence Center is oriented not only toward a local audience but also toward international cooperation. The center is conceived as a place where Armenia "connects with the world," and global technological and educational trends are adapted to the regional context.
