In Dushanbe, the Area AI 1.0 project AI hub for exporting AI solutions has been officially launched.
The Area AI Consortium officially launched Area AI 1.0 — its first project hub in Dushanbe. The ceremony marked the beginning of Area AI's operational activities and became a significant milestone in advancing Tajikistan's cutting-edge artificial intelligence ecosystem.
Area AI 1.0 operates as a project office for consortium member companies, focusing on the advanced development and export of AI products and services from Tajikistan, based in Dushanbe. The hub lays the foundation for the transition to Area AI 2.0 — a full-scale AI campus, scheduled to launch in 2027.
Area AI 2.0 will cover the entire artificial intelligence value chain — from talent development to green AI computing infrastructure and advanced AI research and development.
The initiative is implemented by the Area AI Consortium, which unites 16 international AI companies and investors under the management of zypl.ai. The consortium includes leading global AI companies such as Perplexity, Cerebras, Yotta, and Supermicro, as well as companies from the A7Sigma ecosystem.

Attendees of the opening ceremony were presented with a portfolio of flagship AI projects being implemented under Area AI 1.0, including AI-GOV — AI in public services, AI Oxus — a cluster for green AI computing, and Project Soro — a national AI implementation program in education. During the event, several key agreements were announced between Area AI Consortium members and international partners.
The ceremony brought together high-ranking representatives of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, leaders of local and global technology companies and investors, as well as representatives of international organizations and the diplomatic corps, underscoring the significance of Area AI 1.0 as a new stage in the development of artificial intelligence in Tajikistan.
