A hackathon with a prize fund of 5000 manats will take place in Baku.

The first hackathon dedicated to metro infrastructure — Metro Hackathon — will take place in Baku. The initiative is led by Baku Metro CJSC with the support of SUP.VC.

As part of the three-day program, participants will develop AI solutions for real-world metro challenges, including passenger flow management, congestion reduction, and digital transformation of the transport system.

Teams will gain access to real metro data and work across seven key areas, including forecasting, flow management, passenger distribution on platforms, boarding and alighting optimization, and creating a digital twin of the metro network.

The final presentations will be held at the Baku Metro's technological building. Winners will receive cash prizes: 5,000 manats for first place, 3,000 for second, and 1,000 for third. The top teams will also have the opportunity to complete an internship and test their solutions within the metro system.

The hackathon will take place from May 1 to 3 at the Icherisheher metro station. Participation is limited, and pre-registration is required.
