A Regional Digital Center for Samsung may be established in Azerbaijan

Rashad Nabiyev, Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, held a meeting with the leadership of the South Korean company Samsung C&T Corporation Engineering & Construction Group. The main topic of the negotiations was projects in the field of transport and digital innovations.

As the minister reported, the Korean side was represented by President and CEO Oh Se-chul, as well as President of the Global Business and Operations Division Kim Jung-wook.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the following issues:

— transport infrastructure: implementation of current projects aimed at modernizing Azerbaijan's transport system

— digital cooperation: prospects for opening a Regional Operations and Digital Center of Samsung in Azerbaijan.

The participants also exchanged views on further opportunities for bilateral cooperation in these areas.
