The PRO.NRG Fest 2025 Science Festival will take place in Astana

On September 20, 2025, in Astana, at the AIFC EXPO venue, the annual popular science festival PRO.NRG Fest 2025: “Rooted in the Future” will take place, gathering over 6,000 participants for the fourth time.

PRO.NRG Fest is a multi-format event combining educational lectures, masterclasses, exhibitions, and gaming activities for children and adults. The festival will serve as a space for live dialogue between experts and a broad audience. This year, more than 30 speakers—opinion and industry leaders—will take the stage, including historian-medievalist and population genetics specialist Zhaksylyk Sabitov, media teacher and blog author @proactive.teacher Ayash Myrzabekova, and pedagogical trainer and mentor of the ustart.academy project Eskendir Bestay.

The program features more than 30 speakers—scientists, educators, opinion leaders—along with AI workshops, digital zones, Art&Science (science through art), gamification with prizes, masterclasses, quests, and a technology exhibition.

The festival will host the national stage of the largest European STEM festival for educators, Science on Stage. Thirty finalist projects will participate, and the seven best will represent Kazakhstan at the European stage in Lithuania in 2026.
