The De-Vibed Hackathon by Command Center will take place in Astana with a prize fund of 1 million tenge
On January 24-25, the De-Vibed Hackathon, organized by the Command Center team, will take place at Nazarbayev University in Astana. The event's prize fund amounts to 1,000,000 tenge.
The hackathon is designed as an alternative to the popular vibe coding format, emphasizing not development speed but code quality, solution architecture, and resilience to changes. Midway through the event, participants will be announced with an additional technical challenge that will require adapting an already implemented solution. Thus, the key factor will be the thoughtfulness of the architecture and the ability of the code to withstand changes under time constraints.
The use of artificial intelligence at the hackathon is not only permitted but encouraged. Participants are expected to demonstrate how effectively they can apply AI tools to create a high-quality product within tight deadlines.
Participation is possible both in teams of up to four people and individually. For those without a team, organizers have provided participant matching on the day of the event.
The jury includes:
— Jimmy Koppel — co-founder of Command Center, Thiel Fellow, PhD MIT
— Arsen Klyshbek — co-founder of Amurex AI, Entrepreneur First graduate, raised $250,000 in investments
— Igor Martyniuk — Founder & CEO of TabAI, participant of Y Combinator AI Startup School
— Temirlan — CTO of Aleem, NYU Abu Dhabi ’27 student, participant of N! Incubation ’24
The event is conducted in Russian, although some judges and partners are English-speaking. The participation format is offline only.
