The largest IT conference in Kazakhstan, Kolesa Conf 2025, took place in Almaty.

On October 11, the seventh annual Kolesa Conf 2025 took place in Almaty — the largest conference for IT industry representatives in Kazakhstan and the CIS. This year, the event brought together 1,600 participants: developers, analysts, QA engineers, product managers, startup founders, and other specialists.

The conference was organized entirely by the Kolesa Group team.

Kolesa Conf consists of many components, with each part prepared by our employees. A huge amount of work was done in selecting speakers and preparing presentations. The design team developed merchandise and fully designed the customer experience of the venue. Special attention was paid to the registration area — the flow was carefully worked out so that participants wouldn't have to wait in long lines. The logistics department ensured that everything necessary was available at the venue. This was a synergy of many departments, each contributing to the creation of the conference.

Traditionally, the conference covered four IT tracks: Management, Data, Web, and Mobile. In one day, participants were able to listen to more than 30 presentations featuring practical cases that reflect real-world tasks and solutions applied in IT. There were also presentations in Kazakh, and simultaneous translation was available in each track for the convenience of guests.

In addition to presentations, acoustic sessions, and roundtable discussions, the venue hosted a chess tournament against a robot, debates on controversial IT topics, fortune-telling using "IT tarot," and themed activities where participants could earn branded merchandise.

One of the announcements at Kolesa Conf was the first-ever Data & AI Award in Kazakhstan — a joint project by Kazakhstan Data Community, DataBoom, and Kolesa Group.

You can submit an application or nominate colleagues until the end of 2025. The shortlist will be announced in January 2026, and the finale will take place in February at the Kazakhstan Data Community conference.

Kolesa Conf has been held since 2019, and over this time it has solidified its status as a platform where IT professionals meet to grow together — sharing experiences, supporting each other, and developing the IT industry in Kazakhstan.
