The Akimat of Almaty City and Unitree Robotics have signed a memorandum on the creation of a joint robotics laboratory in the capital of Kazakhstan. The laboratory will become a center for the development of mobile robotics, autonomous navigation, artificial intelligence systems, and other advanced technologies in the field of robotics.
The creation of the laboratory is being carried out with the support of the project's strategic partner, Freedom Holding Corp. The opening of the laboratory is an important step in forming an innovative ecosystem in the megacity, stimulating scientific research, developing educational programs in the field of high technologies, and attracting investments to Kazakhstan.
Unitree Robotics is considered one of the world leaders in the robotics equipment market. The company holds approximately 62% of the global market for quadruped robots and more than 75% of the Asian market. The laboratory in Almaty will allow specialists, researchers, and students to gain practical experience working with modern robots, develop new software and hardware solutions, and integrate artificial intelligence and autonomous navigation technologies into real-world practice.
The project aims to create a platform for cooperation between government agencies, educational institutions, and private companies, which will help accelerate the implementation of innovations in the country's economy and enhance Kazakhstan's competitiveness in the field of robotics at the international level.
