In Almaty, the development of the new city project Alatau City has begun.

In Almaty, large-scale work has begun on the creation of the new city of Alatau City, which will become a modern business, educational, industrial, and tourist center. The project involves the development of four districts with unique specializations:

— Gate District — a business cluster featuring an international business development center, Iconic Building-1, and hubs for companies

— Golden District — a scientific, educational, and medical center: an academic town, an international educational center, a medical cluster, and the K-Park cultural and business complex will be built here

— Growing District — an industrial and logistics hub with export-oriented production, transport hubs, and cooperation with international companies

— Green District — a tourist zone near the Kapchagay Reservoir with parks, resorts, sports facilities, and a potential Formula 1 track.

To coordinate and attract investments, the Alatau City Development Council is being established, and the charter of the state fund Alatau City Authority is being approved. Additionally, a draft law on the special status of the city is being developed, which will allow for the consolidation of special support measures for investors and contract stability.
