The National Venture Fund UzVC announced an investment of $100,000 in the innovative technology startup TezzGO, which specializes in cashierless store solutions. This investment is part of the fund’s strategy to support promising projects capable of transforming traditional economic sectors.
The funds will be directed toward the development of computer vision technologies and the scaling of TezzGO’s network of automated refrigerators, already installed in more than 100 locations across Uzbekistan.
TezzGO is an artificial intelligence and computer vision-based technology platform that creates fully automated retail outlets. The core idea of the project is to implement a cashierless trading system, where customers make purchases without the involvement of cashiers.
The system uses cameras, machine learning, and computer vision algorithms to track customer movements, identify selected products, and automatically generate bills. Customer identification occurs via a mobile app, and payment is processed upon exiting the store.
The application of artificial intelligence opens up new opportunities for optimizing business processes. TezzGO provides continuous monitoring of inventory levels, analyzes customer behavior, and offers store owners data to support managerial decision-making.
Automating customer service helps reduce operational costs and eliminates errors associated with human factors. Customers, in turn, enjoy a more convenient and faster shopping experience, without queues or cashiers. Today, the technology is already being applied to display refrigerators, turning them into vending machine-like units installed in more than 100 locations across the country. The company is also prepared to expand its franchise network across regions of Uzbekistan.
