Uzum has raised over $130 million in investments from Oman's sovereign fund and leading international investors.
The lead investor was the sovereign investment fund of the Sultanate of Oman. Current investors of the company, including VR Capital, Tencent, and FinSight Ventures, also participated in the funding round.
The deal includes equity investment in the company and structured financing. As part of the deal, Uzum's valuation prior to the investment was fixed at $2.3 billion.
The investment from the sovereign fund of the Sultanate of Oman reflects the interest of international partners in Uzbekistan as one of the most dynamically developing digital markets in the region. The deal also contributes to strengthening economic ties between Uzbekistan and Middle Eastern countries.
The raised funds will be directed toward further development of key areas of the ecosystem: e-commerce and FinTech services, as well as expanding technological infrastructure and increasing the availability of modern digital services for residents of all regions of the country.
Lazy Kudratov, Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan
Uzum has become an example of how a country's economic potential can be realized, winning the trust of leading global investors. And, of course, for us, attracting investment from the sovereign fund of the Sultanate of Oman is not only a sign of strengthening economic ties between states, but also an important result of consistent work to improve the investment climate and develop the digital economy of Uzbekistan. We welcome the expansion of international cooperation and the participation of global investors in projects aimed at modernizing the economy and implementing modern technologies.
Jasur Jumayev, Founder and CEO of Uzum
We are consistently creating a national-scale technological infrastructure that makes modern digital services accessible to millions of people and businesses. Today, for us, it is important not only the high valuation by partners from Oman, but also the trust of our early investors, who continue to invest in the growth of Uzum, supporting our strategy. Our country has incredible potential, and today we have once again demonstrated it to the whole world.
Today, more than 20 million Uzbeks use Uzum services monthly. In 2025, the turnover of the e-commerce segment of the ecosystem grew by 1.5 times and exceeded $500 million. Since its creation, the ecosystem has remained one of the drivers of the country's economic digitalization, strengthening Uzbekistan's position in the global investment community.
