Technovation Girls Kazakhstan is opening mentor recruitment for the new season

Anyone from the IT, business, design, education, and other fields, as well as specialists who aim to develop technological skills, entrepreneurial thinking, and interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) among schoolgirls, can become a mentor for Technovation Girls. To participate in the program as a mentor, you need to register on the Technovation Girls Kazakhstan website by March 18, 2026.

Experience in app development or launching startups is an advantage for mentors but not a mandatory requirement. Mentors support teams at all stages of product creation. They help participants master technologies and presentation skills, develop business models, provide support during the project creation process, and foster a safe and motivating environment.

Who can become a mentor:
— professionals in IT, business, design, education, and other fields
— specialists interested in developing technology and entrepreneurship among schoolgirls
— experience in app development or launching startups is welcome but not mandatory.

Mentor's role:
— supporting teams at all stages of product creation
— teaching participants the basics of technology, business planning, and presentation
— assisting in developing solutions for social issues
— creating a supportive and safe environment for schoolgirls.

Participation in the program gives mentors access to an international community and opportunities on the global Technovation Girls platform. At the end of the season, mentors receive an international certificate confirming their participation.

The international Technovation Girls program helps girls become technology entrepreneurs and leaders. In 2025, more than 2,300 schoolgirls from different regions of Kazakhstan participated in Technovation Girls Kazakhstan, and 400 professionals, including 57 employees of Yandex Qazaqstan, became mentors for the participants' teams. 22 Kazakhstani teams advanced to the international semi-finals.

Previously, in 2024, a Kazakhstani team of eight-year-old developers received the Technical Prize at the Technovation Girls Global Summit in Silicon Valley for their app IHear, which uses artificial intelligence technology to support children with cochlear implants.

Yandex Qazaqstan has been supporting Technovation Girls for the third year. Company employees not only participate in the program as mentors but also help evaluate teams' projects and serve as jury members.
