Startup Defect AI raised $100,000 in funding from Jas Ventures

On November 27, the Astana Business Campus at Nazarbayev University hosted a joint Investor Pitch Day organized by NURIS and JAS Ventures. The event was attended by 12 technology teams—graduates of the 17th cohort of the Quick Start acceleration program and startups that had completed previous support programs. Projects in the fields of medicine, artificial intelligence, education, and business automation were presented at the Investor Pitch Day.

As a result of the Quick Start program, the startup Defect AI attracted investments in the amount of $100,000 from Jas Ventures.

For NURIS, the event became another confirmation of ecosystem development. Since 2016, 30 programs have been conducted, with 332 startups graduating from them, many of which are already visible in the market. Among them are Kompra.kz, the agricultural platform Egistic, the international EdTech project CodiPlay, the AI service GoDays, and the trading platform The Fashion People, which attracted $2.5 million in investments.
