Starlink reached 9 million users in one year
Starlink, the satellite internet service owned by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, has surpassed 9 million active users worldwide. The company reports that its customer base has grown by more than one million in just the past few weeks, with a daily increase of approximately 20,000 new subscribers.
Starlink is now operational in over 150 countries and territories, providing internet access in regions with weak or non-existent terrestrial infrastructure. The service relies on the world’s largest constellation of low-Earth orbit satellites, which SpaceX continues to actively expand.
The sharp rise in user numbers has heightened expectations for a potential Starlink IPO, which SpaceX may conduct in the coming years. According to sources, satellite internet is considered the key driver behind the company’s future public offering.
Starlink has already become one of SpaceX’s main revenue sources and plays a crucial role in Elon Musk’s long-term strategy to commercialize space technologies.
