Solva Technology, the development center of one of Kazakhstan’s leading fintech companies — Solva Group Ltd. — is successfully implementing the Laboratory 3.0 project, aimed at training IT specialists. The “Laboratory” emerged as a response to the growing demand for qualified IT professionals and rapidly changing technology market requirements.
About the Laboratory 3.0 Project
Laboratory 3.0 is an initiative by Solva Technology that offers in-depth and analytical training for specialists in the most in-demand IT fields: Java/Kotlin and PHP Backend Development, 1C, QA Manual, QA Automation, Business/System Analysis, DevOps, Mobile Flutter Development, Frontend ReactJs Development, Data Engineering, and others. The main difference between this project and standard educational programs is that training takes place in an offline format with full immersion in office processes, follows an eight-hour workday, and focuses on solving real-world tasks that graduates encounter in their first jobs. During the three-month training period, the “lab assistant” receives a scholarship equal to the salary of a young full-time employee, which motivates them to study without being distracted by other work. As a result, upon successful completion of the training, the junior specialist is offered employment.
An important part of the Laboratory 3.0 concept is the opportunity for aspiring IT specialists to not only gain theoretical knowledge within three months but also learn to work with modern technologies, solve problems in a team, and interact with project managers and colleagues.
Opportunities for Partners
The Laboratory 3.0 project provides companies with opportunities for collaboration at various levels. This can range from recruiting graduates for job positions to deeper cooperation, including the preparation of specialists tailored to specific employer tasks and technologies.
Partner companies can reserve the best candidates in advance and individually customize the training process to meet their needs, ensuring that graduates already possess all necessary skills at the start of their work and are ready to join projects. This cooperation model helps minimize risks associated with recruiting and onboarding new employees, as graduates arrive at projects already prepared.
Why This Is Important
In recent years, the IT market in Kazakhstan has grown significantly, and the need for qualified professionals continues to rise. In a highly competitive talent market, companies often face shortages of experienced specialists, and the training and onboarding of new employees can take considerable time and resources. Laboratory 3.0 offers partners a solution to these challenges by providing specialists who have completed all stages of training and are ready to start working immediately.
The project was initially launched in 2021 to meet internal needs for qualified IT professionals for Solva Group Ltd. projects. Since then, more than 250 junior specialists have completed training and joined teams within the holding company, affiliated companies, and partner organizations. Solva Group project managers note that graduates quickly adapt to work processes and integrate effectively into teams. They are already familiar with key technologies, understand how development processes work, and are ready to tackle complex tasks from day one. This significantly reduces the time required for their onboarding and training.

After the “laboratory,” we welcomed good junior specialists into our team. They actively study the project and enhance their expertise, show initiative, and propose solutions. At the same time, they have become reliable team players with a solid level of professional communication and interaction with colleagues. The young specialists are not afraid to ask questions and adapt easily to new conditions. They handle assigned tasks well, respond positively to feedback, and are open to comments. They strive to participate in team life and show initiative in their work.
The Laboratory 3.0 project is a unique opportunity for companies in Kazakhstan to access new talent ready to meet the modern challenges of the IT market. Partners receive specialists with practical experience, which allows them to reduce adaptation costs and improve team efficiency.
