The Tajikistan national team has won a medal at an international AI olympiad for the first time in history.

The Tajikistan national team participated in the International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) for the first time in history and won a medal. The competition took place in Astana and brought together representatives from 105 countries.

Divlov Ikrromov, a student at the Hotamov School, received a bronze medal. Murodjon Khayrakov, a graduate of the Presidential Lyceum for Gifted Students, was awarded an Honorable Mention by the organizing committee.

The national team was ceremonially welcomed at Dushanbe Airport. The students' preparation for the Olympiad took place over the past six months and included machine learning, data analysis, and other artificial intelligence disciplines. The training program was conducted by zypl.ai, AI Council Tajikistan, and AI Academy Tajikistan.

In 2026, more than 600 students from around the world participated in the IOAI. The next Olympiad, IOAI-2027, will be held in Singapore.
