Samsung has announced an update for its 2025 Bespoke AI refrigerators with Family Hub, adding Bixby voice recognition. The assistant identifies family members, displaying personalized data, calendars, and adjusting the screen for visually impaired users. Alarm activation and command execution via double-tap on the powered-off display are also available. Voice ID and gesture control features have already been implemented in the 2025 model lineup.
Samsung has released an update for its Bespoke AI smart refrigerators featuring voice recognition support. The built-in Bixby assistant can now identify which family member is speaking and display personalized information accordingly.
The refrigerator can show calendars, photo albums, and switch to specific screen modes, such as color inversion or grayscale — a convenient feature for people with limited vision. Users can also activate an alarm on their smartphone via voice command if they’ve misplaced their phone.
Additionally, Bixby can now be launched by double-tapping the screen when it’s turned off. Although the voice assistant has long lost its prominence on Samsung smartphones, the company continues to develop it for home appliances.
The Voice ID feature and double-tap control are already available on Bespoke AI refrigerators with Family Hub — 2025 model lineup — and will later be rolled out to devices with smaller AI Home displays.
