Startup Blackdot presented an automated tattoo machine

The Austin-based startup Blackdot has presented the "world's first automated tattooing device."
Before the session begins, the robot tattoo artist analyzes the client's skin and, based on this data, determines the number and depth of punctures. It is expected that as a result, the application will be less painful, and the tattoo itself will look better, taking into account the skin type and location.

Yandex presented YandexART — a neural network for generating images and animations

For training, Yandex specialists used a dataset of 330,000,000 images with text descriptions. Images for the dataset were selected using a triple filtering mode so that only the best ones proceeded to training.
To improve generation quality, an additional reinforcement learning stage was employed. After generating several hundred images on a single topic, employees select the most successful ones. Thus, the neural network learned to generate beautiful images. Additionally, developers applied a new text recognition algorithm, which helps the neural network correctly understand users.
