Replit closed a $400 million funding round at a $9 billion valuation
The programming platform Replit has raised $400 million in a Series D funding round, valuing the company at $9 billion. The round was led by one of its previous investors, Georgian Partners. Other participants in the financing included G Squared, Prysm Capital, Coatue, Andreessen Horowitz, Craft Ventures, Y Combinator, Accenture Ventures, Okta Ventures, and Databricks Ventures.
Replit’s founder and CEO Amjad Masad also announced that several well-known angels are among the investors, including former basketball player Shaquille O’Neal and actor Jared Leto.
The new funding round took place just six months after the company’s previous major investment round. In September 2025, the startup raised $250 million and reached a valuation of $3 billion. At that time, the company stated it was on track to achieve an annual recurring revenue of $150 million.
Company representatives plan to reach $1 billion in annual recurring revenue by the end of the current year.
Replit has gained particular popularity due to the rise of so-called vibe-coding—a programming approach that simplifies application development and makes coding accessible to a broader audience.
Despite its rapid growth in recent years, the company’s founder previously noted that the path to success took nearly nine years. According to Masad, one of the key decisions was a strategic pivot: the company shifted its focus to target not only professional developers but also users without programming experience.
This move allowed the platform to expand its audience and accelerate growth amid rising interest in AI-powered development tools.
